Regrettably, many properties do not accommodate line of site communication - there are trees, buildings and/or topography between the two points. As a consequence we have found several 900mhz radio solutions which have enough band width to support access control and even single camera data transmission. For example, at one site we are supporting 11 locks across a campus using a 900mhz radio wireless network. |

We have used a variety of products to create high throughput, line-of-site networks. We have implemented hub and spoke, point to point and mesh configurations. Our experience shows this can be a cost effective way to bring video from remote parts of a large golf course community to the head-end viewing station or eliminate the cost of trenching to link an access control system to a gate. We have been pleased with the Araya radios, but there are many choices. |
