Phone entry systems easily accommodate a camera. The wiring, however, needs to find its way to dedicated monitors or into the Cable Box so that the image from the phone entry can be seen where it needs to be seen in the house. This is work Bay Cities Automatic Gates can perform or we can coordinate with your low voltage home electrician. The camera view will allow you to see the face of the visitor as they speak into the intercom.

An intercom system requires hard wiring from the gate to the control panel(s) in the house. But once this wiring is in place the video is a nice, self contained system. We recommend Aiphone equipment. The view will allow you to see the face of the visitor.

(With recording)
As part of a more comprehensive perimeter security system, we will install one or more cameras with broader views of the gate area. These will compliment the “face shot” in the intercom or phone entry system. We will also install an appropriately sized DVR (digital video recorder) with dedicated power supply and UPS (un-interruptible power supply) so that the images from the cameras are being recorded and can be played back at a future date if necessary. These DVR’s can also be networked in the event a homeowner would like the ability to view the cameras from a remote location over the internet. The exact cameras and DVRs we choose will be based on the specific site requirements but they will always be commercial-grade so that their long term, reliable performance is assured.
