Bay Cities Automatic Gates is a California specialty contractor (C62/D28) located in San Carlos, CA. We specialize in designing, installing, servicing and providing Preventative Maintenance to automatic gates, access control, parking revenue control and CCTV systems. 

Bay Cities Automatic Gates was founded in 1991 by Larry Rummell, a talented electro-mechanical technician who was very customer service focused and was a solid, successful business person. Larry focused primarily on gate automation and phone entry systems at multi-unit residential and single-family properties between San Francisco and San Jose. In December 2004, he sold the business to Peter Hartzell and retired.

Today, the company has six full-time field technicians plus a strong office team that provides excellent response time for service calls and the ability to coordinate several installations simultaneously. In addition, we have innovated our installation process and Preventative Maintenance program so that we can guarantee quality work. We have also added services such as CAD design, permit pulling and remote access control management.

Though Bay Cities Automatic Gates has grown in many important ways, we have remained constant in our fundamentals: a commitment to high quality work, fast response and customer satisfaction. We plan to continue to grow steadily and systematically finding innovative and reliable products and services to offer our customers throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
